Detailed information about Rhinoplasty surgery, Rhinoplasty prices, Open Rhinoplasty, Closed Rhinoplasty…
There are two types of patient candidates who are included in the operation within the scope of rhinoplasty and septoplasty surgeries, medically known as rhinoplasty. The first of these are patients who have problems with the physical functions of the nose. The problems in this type of patients can be summarized as follows.

Septoplasty (Functional Disorders)
Complaints of difficulty breathing due to nasal flesh enlargement

Complaints of not being able to breathe easily due to nasal cartilage problems

Deep breathing complaints due to nasal bone curvature

Rhinoplasty (Deformities)
No breathing problems, only shape corrections (nose aesthetics, rhinoplasty)

In order to eliminate the breathing problems of our patients with the above complaints, requests for visual improvement of the nose, as well as medical intervention, can be performed by the specialist physician during the same surgery. Private Meltem Hospital ENT specialists, who have performed hundreds of successful rhinoplasty operations so far, answer questions about this surgery one by one.

What is the Age Limit?

Here, cartilage and bone development in the nose should not be ignored. First of all, nose surgery is not recommended for patients under the age of 18, as the body needs to complete its development. Rhinoplasty is suitable for patients who are 18 years old and above.

How is it with seasonal time?

As an answer to the question in which season rhinoplasty is performed; There are a few sensitive issues that our patients must comply with for a certain period of time after surgery. As long as the person who has surgery undergoes the recovery process in accordance with the rules we have specified, there will be no seasonal problems for rhinoplasty.

Rhinoplasty Before and After Examples
This is the natural right of every patient. However, we cannot include these examples on our websites, both legally and for patient privacy reasons. The legal reason is that it is within the scope of creating misleading arguments for patients by the Ministry of Health. For this reason, during the interview, before and after images of the operations performed in our hospital (our patients’ faces are hidden with digital techniques) are presented to our patients who are considering surgery. As a hospital with 20 years of experience in its field, we answer all the questions our patients have about this subject.

I Want to See What My Nose Will Be Like in 3D

In this regard, an impressive presentation can be made to patients with different simulation programs. However, this technique is used by many hospitals and clinic teams only as a visual show to convince the patient. The results of the application are not based on medical data and can often give misleading information about patients’ expectations. As a result, rhinoplasty is a surgical operation. Our patients with this expectation can get an idea about us by examining the photographs of previous operations.

What are the Rhinoplasty Methods?
There are not many different methods in nose surgery. Only two methods, open and closed rhinoplasty surgery, are among the techniques used by surgeons. The answer to the question “So which one should be preferred?” should be stated after explaining the advantages and disadvantages of the methods to the patient.

Open Rhinoplasty Surgery

In open rhinoplasty surgery, the specialist surgeon can fully master the anatomy of the nose. For this reason, in detailed interventions (both aesthetic and functional improvements), the open nose surgery technique gives more common and satisfactory results. Since the surgeon has a high level of control, especially in shaping the nose tip, it provides an advantage for the surgeon to manage the operation in more detail. Nasal curvature usually occurs to the eye due to the crookedness of the nasal roof (valve) and the cartilage ridge on the nose. These two factors can be better strengthened with the help of grafts in open surgery. Frankly, nose surgery should be done once. In this respect, our patients are confused. We recommend open rhinoplasty surgery for the least risk in the final appearance and comfortable breathing results after the application.

Closed Rhinoplasty Surgery

The first thing to know about closed nose surgery is that there is no incision. The wall in the middle of the two nostrils is called the columella. In open surgery, the nose is opened by cutting the columella and internal stitching is placed at the end of the operation. The absence of this procedure in closed surgery ensures that the operation is completed faster. Using rasps and chisels, the surgeon can make corrections on the nasal dorsum and tip of the nose through the incisions inside the nose. To underline again, open surgery allows comprehensive procedures such as nasal tip lifting, nasal dorsum strengthening, and nasal curvature to be performed more comfortably and comprehensively.
